UI Communication Festival is an event organized by the UI Postgraduate Student Association. Carrying the tagline “Communication Achievement Synergy”, this event contains various agendas such as Keynote Speeches, Talkshows, Entertainment, and Door prizes.
The speech was started by the Head of the Department of Communication Science UI, Dr. Hendriyani. Then there is the Chairman of ILUNI UI who is also the Deputy Minister of Villages, Budi Arie Setiadi. Remarks were also given by the Dean of the UI Faculty of Social & Political Sciences, Prof. Dr. Semiarto Aji Purwanto.
The Keynote Speech was given by Dr. Usman Kansong, Director General of Public Communication Information of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information, with the topic of Digital Sovereignty in the Era of Abundance. Then the event continued with a Talkshow themed “Digital Era: Opportunities and Challenges”. Moderated by Prima Virginia, this talk show presented four speakers from various backgrounds, ranging from practitioners, academics, regulators, and observers. The speakers included Whisnu Triwibowo, Ph.D. as Lecturer of Communication Science UI, Puji Widodo as Deputy Director of Communication of Bank Indonesia, Agung Wibowo as CEO of FundEx, and Dr. Firman Kurniawan Sujono as Digital Communication Observer & Author of Digital Dilemma Book. The event continued with performances from Konig Band, as well as Stand-up Comedy from Patra Gumala.
Various door prizes were also given to lucky participants.
