SALEMBA – As a postgraduate student, learning is a must during lectures. However, students at the University of Indonesia’s Graduate Program in Communication Science do not simply learn, learn, and learn. Various projects and fun activities filled the space during the lecture period.
This time we explore “A Day with Pascakom” in this phenomenon that hits in mid-2023, Wes Anderson. This short video is the idea and work of Dewi Lestari Natalia, Gusti Nadya, Michael Wolter T W, Risa Krisadhi, and Zikrulloh who are Postgraduate students of the Master Program Batch 2022. They packaged “Live at Pascakom” in a short video entitled “Explore the Corner of Salemba.” This project is the result of the students’ creativity in the course “Digital Public Relations Seminar.”
Lectures usually start in the morning or afternoon for regular classes and in the evening for special classes. Lectures take place at the IASTH Building, 6th Floor, UI Salemba Campus, students can access the elevator in front of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) UI Salemba Branch. During the lecture, the seriousness of the students could be seen from the array of laptops on each table while paying attention to the explanation from the lecturer. It is not uncommon for students to ask questions and discuss together, both with lecturers and other fellow students.
After class, students usually continue their activities such as doing assignments in the library, co-working spaces, cafes, or having lunch in the cafeteria. In addition, students can also chat in the garden or watch the sunset on the rooftop of the 8th floor of the IASTH Building. Don’t forget to buy the latest milk coffee or ice americano to be more enthusiastic about your daily life as a master student. If you don’t like coffee, students can snack on microwavable snacks, bread, market snacks, at the mini canteen in the hallway next to the Environmental School Building.
In the afternoon, it was time for students to go home and resume their tasks at their respective homes or boarding houses. Some students also continued lectures at night while a little sleepy but trying hard to focus and follow the lectures.
