Master's Program Curriculum

The curriculum of the Master’s Program (S2) in Communication Sciences at the University of Indonesia (UI) is designed to meet KKNI Level VIII standards, namely:

  • Be able to develop Communication Sciences in professional practice through innovative research.
  • Be able to solve communication problems through an inter or multidisciplinary approach.
  • Be able to manage research and development of communication that is beneficial to society and science, and able to get national recognition.

Matriculation

Matriculation must be followed by students whose previous education (undergraduate) is not in the same field as the Communication study program. Matriculation activities include theoretical deepening and methods of communication sciences.

Thesis

The final project of the Master program (S2) is thesis writing (6 credits).

Scientific Publications

Students produce 1 scientific paper published in national or international journals (2 credits).
