In the 2023 academic year, the Communication Sciences Postgraduate Program at the University of Indonesia is collaborating with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR). This program aims to improve the quality of government information services through the Public Relations Super Specialist Communication Science Master’s Program. In the second semester of FY 2023/2024, students are required to take part in enrichment programs in various companies and government agencies as part of the lecture curriculum.
This internship period will take place from July to September 2023, in between the odd semester lecture holidays. During the internship period, students are placed in fields of work related to public relations, either in government agencies, public relations agencies, or private companies. This internship program is expected to hone the latest strategic, tactical and technical skills in public relations. By embracing international, state-owned and private PR consultants, the internship program focuses on increasing student competency related to their scope of work as a PR.
The internship program is scheduled to hone students’ skills in the field of public relations through training, internships and certification activities. In general, for students, this program aims to provide experience and overview of managing the communication function of institutions/companies/organizations/partners through internships, general classes and visits.
Students carry out internship programs at various internship partners for 40 days. Furthermore, in line with the internship program that students participate in, students are expected to be able to learn from managing partner communication functions, both strategically and tactically. The internship partners appointed include Colors Talent Agency, Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo), Indonesia Communications (ID Comm), Brightminds Communications, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), RED Comm Indonesia, and PT.
