Closing the management of the University of Indonesia Communication Science Postgraduate Student Association (HIMPASKOM UI) 2.0 period 2023, on Friday, January 12, 2024 the HIMPASKOM UI Great Deliberation was held. This event was held online via zoom meeting and attended by HIMPASKOM UI supervisors, administrators, and members. As an opening in the big meeting, Dr. Indah Santi Pratidina, S.Sos., M.Soc.Sci. as a representative of the HIMPASKOM UI supervisor delivered her remarks, “I really appreciate the performance of Mas Dede and his friends in HIMPASKOM 2022, it doesn’t feel like it was just yesterday inaugurated but soon it will release the management. Thank you for the good cooperation of HIMPASKOM UI, keep up the spirit and keep the friendship together”. The Great Deliberation event was chaired by 3 (three) presidiums representing the youngest generation (2023), the oldest generation (2021), and the HIMPASKOM UI management. The agenda discussed included discussion of the Great Deliberation Rules of Procedure, HIMPASKOM UI bylaws, and the Termination of the Mandate of the General Chairperson of HIMPASKOM UI for the 2023 period.
The Great Deliberation took place quite interactively, the participants who attended were very active in expressing their opinions and views related to the various agendas discussed. There are several provisions in the bylaws that were changed in accordance with the agreement in the big meeting. This was done because the provisions were considered less relevant and needed to be updated. Related to this, there are also provisions that are deleted or added in the HIMPASKOM UI bylaws. The bylaws that have been ratified then become a reference for HIMPASKOM UI for the next period in carrying out the work program.
After carrying out the Great Deliberation, HIMPASKOM UI then held a Member Forum which took place on Monday, January 15, 2024 offline. The Member Forum was held to read the HIMPASKOM UI Accountability Report for the 2023 period. The Member Forum was attended by HIMPASKOM UI Management and Members, and received support from Dr. Eriyanto, S.I.P., M.Si. who attend online. The purpose of this HIMPASKOM UI Member Forum is to hear how the evaluation of each work program that has been implemented by HIMPASKOM UI for the 2023 period. The Chairperson of HIMPASKOM UI for the 2023 period, Dede Kurniyawan, delivered his presentation regarding the evaluation of each division in HIMPASKOM UI and suggestions for the next management. In addition, Dede also explained the cash flow during the HIMPASKOM UI management period 2023. Various evaluations and suggestions have been compiled by each chairman and division member at HIMPASKOM UI. Meanwhile, during one year of management, HIMPASKOM UI 2.0 has successfully completed various work programs including: Open recruitment of administrators, Work Deliberation, Broadcasting Workshop, Commtalk 2 edition, Himpaskom Goes to School and Society, Welcoming Freshmen 2023, LIVE IG with DKI Jakarta Information Commission, UI Communication Festival 2023, Search for HIMPASKOM 3.0 Chairman, Big Meeting, and Member Forum.
Furthermore, the baton of HIMPASKOM UI 2.0 for the 2023 period certainly does not stop here. HIMPASKOM UI 3.0 period 2024 is currently preparing to strengthen the foundation to continue and create various work programs that are beneficial to many parties. Hopefully HIMPASKOM UI can become a forum for communication science graduate students to contribute and work together in honing organizational skills.
