SALEMBA – The Postgraduate Program in Communication Science at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia (FISIP UI) consists of a Master’s Program (S2) and a Doctoral Program (S3). The learning process takes place face-to-face at the UI Salemba Campus, precisely at the IASTH Building 6th Floor. Various facility developments have been carried out to support the course of lectures, including one of them is a facility for academicians with disabilities and special needs.

The entrance to the campus area is supported by a wide sidewalk and equipped with guiding blocks that guide the visually impaired. In addition, the roads within the campus area are sloped to facilitate the mobility of the academic community with disabilities and special needs when entering the lecture building. There are 3 (three) elevators that are also provided as facilities to the classrooms located on the 6th floor of the IASTH Building.

The existence of supporting facilities and facilities is one element of infrastructure that is expected to facilitate the entire UI academic community in carrying out lecture activities, including people with disabilities and special needs. This is further regulated in the Decree of the Rector of the University of Indonesia number 2816/SK/R/UI/2017 concerning the Determination of Technical Guidelines for Facilities and Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities at the University of Indonesia.
